			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If there&#8217;s one thing that really gets up my nose is when I see a <a target="_blank" href="http://dpmsydneybootcamp.com.au/" target="_blank">Sydney Personal Trainer</a> doing boxing sessions with their clients without a clue on how to run a proper boxing circuit.</p>
<p>I saw 2 things yesterday that highlight this fact and it has to be brought to your attention &#8211; or anybodies attention who pays for the services of people who SHOULD know what they&#8217;re doing.</p>
<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;">Example 1:</span></h2>
<p>Trainer # 1 boxes with his clients and spends the whole workout slapping the gloves of his clients.</p>
<h2>Why is this ineffective &amp; dangerous?</h2>
<p>2 reasons &#8211; with the first one being the client is not getting an effective workout if the trainer is doing half of their work.</p>
<p>BUT the most important reason is you are increasing the punchers risk of injury because you are slapping down on them rather then absorbing the punch.</p>
<p>My mate James Kerrison has a great program <a target="_blank" href="http://dpmperform.kerrisonjr.hop.clickbank.net" target="_blank">Home Boxing Workouts</a> that shows you how to do this properly &#8211; like in this video below:</p>

<h2><span style="color: #0000ff;">Example 2:</span></h2>
<p>Trainer # 2 loves to do boxing workouts with their clients &#8211; which is a great workout by the way. It is intense and works you hard &#8211; if it is done properly.</p>
<p>The mistake this trainer makes is that they don&#8217;t brace their elbows when receiving a punch.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s more like a wild swinging action in receiving the punch &#8211; similar to the example above but just as dangerous.</p>
<h2>Why is this ineffective &amp; dangerous?</h2>
<p>If your elbows are not tucked into your sides when receiving punches at the chest and uppercuts you are going to be placing an awful amount of stress on your elbows when absorbing a punch.</p>
<p>It also means that you cannot provide a good resistance to your partner on the gloves meaning they are not getting an effective workout because they are not able to punch at full power.</p>
<p>Make sure you don&#8217;t make these 2 mistakes when boxing with your clients if you&#8217;re a trainer or boxing with friends.</p>

<p><strong> 1) Beginners will get an overuse injury from doing too much exercise volume too soon.</strong></p>
<p>I had many new clients come to me after injuring themselves trying to get back in shape by doing excessive cardio. Please don&#8217;t make the same mistake.</p>
<p>We had to spend weeks rehabilitating their injuries before we could kick their fat loss workouts into high gear.</p>
<p><strong>2) Long, slow, boring cardio doesn&#8217;t very work well &#8211; if at all &#8211; for fat loss.</strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Research has shown that doing 300 hours of cardio (6 hours per week for 50 weeks) resulted in only 5-6 pounds of weight loss in American men and women.</p>
<h2>That&#8217;s a waste of time.</h2>
<p>So what&#8217;s a better beginner fat loss workout?</p>
<p>Let me explain.</p>
<p>FIRST, we start by doing a general bodyweight warm-up circuit. Most old-school workouts tell you to do a 10-minute warm-up on a treadmill, but that&#8217;s a waste of time.</p>
<p>How does a treadmill prepare you for a total body workout?</p>
<p>Answer: It doesn&#8217;t. Jokes on us when we waste our time with it.</p>

<p>3) The most important interval training fat loss research study was performed on overweight beginner level women.</p>
<p>That study found that women who performed interval training on a stationary bike lost more belly fat than woman who did long slow cardio.</p>
<p>Case closed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>My favourite piece of workout equipment in the world might surprise you. It’s not a kettlebell – although I am a massive fan.</p>
<p>I can always get a great workout just using my own bodyweight. In fact, these days I&#8217;m doing much more bodyweight training than using the weights.</p>
<p>The one thing I can’t do without however, is my <a target="_blank" href="http://bit.ly/buyafoamroller" target="_blank">foam roller</a>.</p>
<p>I keep one in my lounge room so I can use in front of the TV and I keep another one in the car, to use with clients and also for when I train in parks around town.</p>
<p>The foam roller is like having a massage therapist on tap.</p>
<p>You can do it anywhere you have access to one and it gives your body a great relief, helping reduce some of your post exercise muscle soreness.</p>
<p>So what should you do on the foam roller? I made a short video showing you the best ways to use it.</p>

<p>Give these stretches a shot, your body will thank you for it!</p>
<p>The foam roller is also a must use for anyone who spends all day sitting at your desk (the back stretch is my favourite and is perfect for you if you fit this category).</p>
<p>The ITB stretch that is shown is a must for anyone who does a lot of running – either long distance or even sprints.</p>
<p>And if you get knee pain this will definitely help to relieve it.</p>
<p>I highly recommend that you grab a foam roller of your own to have at home.</p>

<p>Some of you know of <a href="http://danielmunday.com/Turbulence-Training-Trial" target="_blank">Turbulence Training</a> while some of you are going what on earth is that.</p>
<p>Some of you are already on the train and been there done that.</p>
<p>Some of you probably brush it off as another online scam.</p>
<p>For those who are not familiar with the system, it is basically the program that started the online workout phenomenon, so <a href="http://danielmunday.com/Turbulence-Training-Trial" target="_blank">Craig Ballantyne</a> is somewhat like the “Godfather of the internet workout program”.</p>
<p>Keeping with the Godfather theme, he’s making you an offer you can’t refuse. He even lets people trial the whole system &#8211; not just a half arsed version of it &#8211; for only $4.95 for 21 days.</p>
<p><strong>The positives</strong></p>
<p>I like how Craig has a &#8216;crunches suck&#8217; policy. So you&#8217;ll never see any sit ups in his workouts.</p>
<p>The other thing I like about the <a href="http://danielmunday.com/Turbulence-Training-Trial" target="_blank">Turbulence Training workouts</a> is they are based on the superset method of training &#8211; how I like to structure most of my workouts with my clients.</p>
<p>The workouts are pretty much suited to anyone from the beginners right up to the advanced trainers.</p>
<p>He has different versions of different exercises where needed and his bonus workouts can crank out a tough session no matter how advanced you are with your training.</p>
<p><strong>Any downsides to <a href="http://danielmunday.com/Turbulence-Training-Trial" target="_blank">Turbulence Training</a>?</strong></p>
<p>Of course there is. No program is perfect.</p>
<p>The nutrition ideas are not exactly what I subscribe to to the letter but it won’t stop you from getting results. Just see the testimonial photos on his website for proof of that.</p>
<p>I guess Craig isn&#8217;t as hard lined as me on certain foods.</p>
<p>Another thing that will turn people off this program is, like any online program &#8211; you still have to do the workouts yourself. Craig isn&#8217;t there to get you out of bed and kick you in the butt if you don&#8217;t turn up to a session.</p>
<p>But if you have the up and go and don&#8217;t need a trainer &#8211; you&#8217;ll be sweet.</p>
<p>The other negative is that Turbulence Training is marketed as a short workout for the time poor person.</p>
<p>While that may be true if you&#8217;re used to training for over an hour in the gym I don&#8217;t really consider 45 minute workouts to be groundbreakingly short.</p>
<p>So, there are more shorter workouts for those who need the time pressed option. I wouldn&#8217;t look at <a href="http://danielmunday.com/Turbulence-Training-Trial" target="_blank">Turbulence Training</a> in your case.</p>
<p>However if you have the 45 minutes to spare then go for it. There are enough workouts to keep you going for the best part of the year.</p>
<p>Craig&#8217;s upsell version for $77 (you can still get the $4.95 trial with this option) gives you another 10 bonus workout manuals.</p>
<p>That will keep you going for well over a years worth of training.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s where the value lies in the Turbulence Training System &#8211; the repeated workouts that you can get for a small price.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s compare the $77 to training with me in person. 1 month on my basic <a target="_blank" href="http://www.dpmperformance.com.au/group-training.html" target="_blank">DPM Red</a> package is going to set you back $135. That&#8217;s only for 2 sessions a week over a month.</p>
<p>So the comparison is pretty good if you are self disciplined and motivated to follow the workouts yourself.</p>
<p>One other positive I like is Craig has even implemented a special $4.95 trial period for those unsure whether you are going to get benefit from the workouts. <p>All in all, I definitely think you&#8217;ll get your moneys worth if you jump on the TT train.</p>
